Get away to Taormina for a week or a weekend
Come to Taormina.
If you're thinking about Sicily, think about enchanting Taormina, fascinating Mount Etna and plenty of blue sea. It's a magical place just made for a couple's escape from the daily grind back home. You could plan it all yourself, or perhaps enlist the help of your "local" travel agent. Or select your getaway based on a few of our ideas. It's easier than you thought. Here's a suggestion.

Think about it. Deluxe accomodations for two in 4-star Villa Angela, a delightful hotel near Castelmola high above Taormina, overlooking Etna and the Ionian Sea. Stay as long as you like. For something different, take a day-long jeep excursion to Europe's largest active volcano and hike around some 'extinct' craters, stopping for lunch at a farm house along the lower slopes.

A daily buffet breakfast is included. Villa Angela has a pool and restaurant, and there are numerous restaurants nearby in Taormina.

A bit of history: Villa Angela was established by Jim Kerr, best-known as the lead singer of Simple Minds. It's a family business reflecting a Scotsman's love of sunny Sicily.

Best of all, the price is right:

3 nights at Villa Angela and full-day Etna excursion €750
4 nights at Villa Angela and full-day Etna excursion €880
7 nights at Villa Angela and full-day Etna excursion €1299
Shuttle service hotel-Taormina center €20 per person per week
Private transfer from Catania Airport €75 each way

Note: The jeep excursion may be "collective" rather than private and includes: Pick-up at Villa Angela, transport to 1,800 meters near Mount Fontana (lava source in 2002), extinct craters around the Sartorius Mountains, light lunch and wine tasting at a winery, stop en route at Alcantara Gorge, return to Villa Angela.

Prices valid through 2009. Contact us to reserve.
